There’s a Blog I enjoy very much called ‘Ethics Alarms’ that I have been following over the past 3-6 months… and I enjoy it because I don’t always agree with what he says. As a matter of fact he’s very right of center. The big difference in what he writes is that he calls people to the carpet on either side of the aisle. I stumbled upon his blog after a google search of ‘Ethics’ – and I have been a subscriber ever since.
This Blogger, named Jack Marshall, pumps out maybe 5-10 posts a week… a volume that I find hard to fathom. It takes me forever to get rolling on an entry, but since I contacted him to ask permission to talk about this particular exchange he’s written 4+ postings. But there is a particular post in which I am completely at odds with his opinion, to the point of where we both think each other is completely wacky for each’s respective perspective. First let me say I am so thankful that I remain busy and have tons to do… hence the sporadic nature of my Posts. I wish I were more consistent—I strive for at least one a week. But I gotta make hay while the sun shines.
That being said, one of the reasons I started this blog is to critique and ferret out video documentaries on the net for my friends and other intellectually curious that maybe “normal” people wouldn’t necessarily see. So I comb Video Google ( instead of YouTube, because they have full length videos ) and watch / listen to them while I work. Read the rest of this entry »
It was very interesting watching snippets of Dick on Face the Nation with Bob Schieffer yesterday. Check out how the right wing blog leader Drudge frames the argument with this front-page headline and pic:
I mean, could the picture be anything more sinister? What point of displaying a picture like this supposed to imply? Plus he looks and is dressed like Jack Abramoff, the money launderer for the NeoCons. Nice… it’s like they are relishing in their sameness, and evil.
It it very interesting, pardon the pun, that our daily national dialogue is “sprinkled” with references to all the “glories” of the Bush administration and their culture of fear, hate, torture and “waterboarding…” Case in point Wanda Sykes at Obama’s first White House Correspondence dinner. I love Wanda and think she is a great comedian, and yes, I believe in Freedom of Speech.
But Dick Cheney has ushered in this era of acceptance of these types of issues and behavior into our mainstream discussions, conversations and Jokes for the Press. I thought Obama’s joke about Cheney was way more hilarious… handled with much better flair. A more natural delivery. And yes, it is good to have someone with a brain and a semblance of a Conscience in the White House… what a world of difference from the ingenius Ambush Steven Colbert laid for W in 2006. Such a different tone, then as to the one held this weekend. Which, I do not necessarily agree with…
Which brings me back to Cheney again after that tangent-laden paragraph. These men are responsible for changing our culture to make all these issues now a part of our daily lives. They have lowered the bar of America, the Bar by which the World used to look to the United States to set. By “Breaking America” and the strongest middle class in the world, it makes it that much easier to impose their will of totalitarianism because “our lives have become so miserable, please come and save us” mentality.
We are slowly becoming a bigger, meaner Mexico—an oligarchy ruled by a small, 3-5 thousand member “ruling class” that owns 80% of everything and the rest of us scrambling for the rest of the “peso-ized” dollars that fall like scraps from their table, ruled in a despot-ized police state with anyone tossed in a gulag for not having the “proper papers please” from the “Homeland”.
And Cheney was instrumental in the lowering of this bar. His “Obama is making us less safe” message is a no-lose situation for him. As a Conspiracy Theorist deluxe, I believe that Cheney helped orchestrate this whole world direction ever since he was dubbed a part of the “crazies” that came to power with Nixon thru the Ford administration. You have to remember, they’ve been working at this for years. With the whole CFR Cheney connection and his involvement in the Project for the New American Century, They’ve been pushing this well-thought-out agenda for 40+ years, the inheritors of the Bilderberg / Tri-lateral commission etc.
So since it is MY belief that when he’s out pounding the pavement trumpeting the “opinion” that we are less safe and ready to be attacked by an emboldened enemy, take him seriously. There is a new Administration, but in the Military Industrial Complex and the Intelligence aparatus – all the players are generally the same.
So who is this “Enemy?” To quote Pogo—”I have met the enemy, and he is us.” Well, all indicators indicate that I have met the enemy, and it is PNAC. Which is the US.
Cheney’s fallback position is “Faced with the Aftermath of 9-11… and the Anthrax attack in the weeks following 9-11” — well, there’s plenty of evidence I don’t need to rehash here that there are many unanswered questions, especially about the weaponized nature of the anthrax attack, that could have only come from our own military labratories… again the government has tried to finger a “Lone Gunman” type “Nut” who “Commits Suicide” when cornered, “Solving” the case. Do a little digging on your own and you’ll find way too much info questioning any of these scenarios.
Case in point – Bush “fired” Rumsfeld in early 2006 I believe – but he still had his office in the Pentagon until after the election of 2006. Heck he still might have the office in there, even though he doesn’t hold an elected office.
So be wary—If Cheney says we’re going to be attacted, he should know—he’s probably the Rollo Tomasi, in his giant hidden underground bunker, who is coordinating it. Just like last time, I am sorry to say.
